Thank you to Sustainable Silicon Valley for making solar energy a reality for EHP and for coming out to support EHP's 2016 Blockfest! Thanks also goes out to Mitsubishi and Sunwork for making this project a reality. We are truly grateful for your support!
Join us on Sunday, October 2nd for San Francisco and Peninsula's annual CROP Hunger Walk, sponsored by community and interfaith efforts within Church World Service! With its inception in 1969, CROP Hunger Walks are viewed by many as the granddaddy of charity walks. The walk’s legacy is well entrenched even in our own community; SF and Peninsula has hosted 3 annual CROP Hunger Walks since 2013, with hundreds of people of all ages from all sorts of interest groups, educational and faith institutions raising over $40,000 already!
The San Francisco and Peninsula CROP Hunger Walk is one of 1,000+ across the nation, symbolizing the walk many around the world must make for basic resources such as food, water, shelter and protection. With our combined national efforts, we raise around $10 million annually towards the shared mission of ending hunger. Money raised supports work in emergency response, as well as longer-term solutions like enhancing food security and providing sustainable safe water supplies. In addition, 25 percent of funds raised stay in the San Francisco and Peninsula area to bolster the local hunger-fighting efforts here through EHP, Ecumenical Hunger Program, in East Palo Alto.
