Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
The key responsibilities of the board are to support EHP’s mission and purpose, provide financial oversight, ensure adequate resources, and raise funds to enable EHP to fulfill its mission, and provide support to the Executive Director, for three-year terms, renewable for a second three years. Board members volunteer on-site, serve on committees, participate in fund-raising events, and attend board meetings.
Chair

Jim Anderson
Jim grew up in rural Indiana, where he helped his Dad as a volunteer for the Elks Club, packing and delivering food baskets throughout Lawrence County during the holidays. After high school, he ventured out to Palo Alto to attend Stanford University, where he received a BA in Economics. This was followed by 3 years at Indiana University Law School where he graduated with his law degree and reunited with his high school girlfriend, Theresa, whom he married following graduation. Jim and Theresa then headed west and Jim started working as an attorney for DLA Piper and its predecessor firms, Ware & Freidenrich and Gray Cary, which were located in East Palo Alto and Palo Alto. Jim is now a partner at the law firm of Seubert, Frimel & Warner LLP in Menlo Park. While at DLA Piper, Jim started volunteering at EHP and has been involved with EHP for over 25 years.
Jim is currently in his 5th term as a member of the Board of Directors. While on the Board of Directors, Jim served 2 terms as Chair, as well as serving as Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer in the past.
Vice Chair

Pastor Albert Macklin
Pastor Albert C. Macklin IV, a native of California is the third son born to Reverend and Mrs. A. C. Macklin III. Pastor Macklin completed his general education in the Mountain View Public School system. In 2004, he attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from San Jose Christian College. Albert C. Macklin IV was appointed Senior Pastor of New Sweet Home - The Temple of Deliverance Church of God in Christ in 2004 following the demise of his father.
He serves on several community boards and management teams offering his expertise from a social, psychological and economic perspective in an effort to enhance the community at large.

Arthur H. Lim
Dr. Arthur Lim was born in Sacramento, CA. He attended UC Davis and graduated from UC San Francisco Medical Center, School of Pharmacy. In addition to being the Director and owner of the Drew Center Pharmacy in East Palo Alto, Dr. Lim is an Airforce Reservist and a community activist and entrepreneur for over 49 years. He is the Board Chair of One East Palo Alto - Neighborhood Improvement Initiative and a Board member of the Drew Health Foundation.
Treasurer

Gloria Robles Wallace
Born and raised in San Francisco, Gloria is a graduate from Lowell High School. She received a BA in Accounting from San Francisco State College. In 1977 she moved to the Southern Peninsula area. Gloria has been married for 47 years and has 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. Throughout her life she has been involved in service. In 1986 she started her own accounting, administration & small property management business company, working for small local businesses. She is now semi-retired.
EHP was her client from 2001 - 2019. She handled EHP’s accounting and administration work. While working there, EHP captured her heart. She is happy to be involved again with EHP, by being part of the Board of Directors.

Garrett Dunwoody
Garrett Dunwoody is a Bay Area Native. His Family has been involved with EHP in various forms since the 1980's. Garrett is a strategic technology leader, recognized for building high-performing teams and driving quantifiable operational gains through people & data. With a Masters in Public Administration & Management from San Francisco State University, he combines his technology background with a deep understanding of operations and strategic management, to drive organizational change through business process redesign and optimization. Garrett's expertise includes significant roles in financial stewardship and operations management. In his current role as a Senior Program Manager @ Google Maps, he works with a team of Data Scientists to build techniques and systems to measure and quantify the real-world.
When he isn't working you can find him watching his two teenagers play soccer, on his bike or at the gym. In the winter you will find him on a ski slope somewhere in Tahoe where he was a volunteer ski patroller for 23 years.

Luanne Rotticci
Over the past 35 years, Luanne has been a volunteer, fundraiser and board member for EHP. She is also a past board member and fundraiser for the San Mateo County Hospital Foundation.
Luanne moved to the Bay Area in the 1970s and earned a degree in business and nutrition. She later established a scholarship fund at Cal State East Bay for students struggling to finish their degrees.

Donna Rutherford
Donna Rutherford was born in San Francisco, CA. Her parents moved to Menlo Park in 1968. Donna graduated from Menlo Atheron High School and continued her education at Canada College, earning an AA in Sociology in 1977. She then attended California State East Bay. Donna has been married for 54 years and has 3 adult children, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Donna began her political career in 1988, campaigning and winning a seat on the Ravenswood City School District Board of Education and later serving as the President and Vice President. While on the school board, she fought for all students to receive a fair and equitable education. Donna then served on the East Palo Alto City Council from November 2000 to 2013. She has 25 years of knowledge and experience as a public servant.
Donna's professional career included working for Mateo Lodge Inc, a nonprofit, as a Program Administrator at Wally's Place, helping people with mental illness, After 23 years with Mateo Lodge Inc, Donna retired. She transferred her strong work ethic and passion for public service to address issues on housing, education, and social rehabilitation, helping those living with mental illness, the unhoused and those suffering from food insecurity

Donna's relationship with EHP began in the 1970's as a volunteer and she now serves as a Board member for EHP, continuing her public service in a community where she has made her home for 57 years.

Amy Sorensen
For the past 9 years, Amy Sorensen has been working for Meta, currently serving as the Operations Lead on the Investor Relations team. Prior to Meta, Amy has diversified experience, supporting the CFO of a private, Independent School, HR and executive support experience at an Investment Bank, as well as sales and marketing experience working in Real Estate.
In addition to her professional career, Amy is a single mom to an active 14-year old son and has two older step-children as well.
She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Amy grew up on the Peninsula and currently resides in Belmont.
Amy is now returning to EHP for her third term as a Board Director, having served previously from 2017-2021. During her prior terms, Amy also served on the Development Committee.
