Weeks Street Capital Campaign

During FY 2017-2018 EHP served 10,928 unduplicated individuals through our Emergency Food Program and provided 5,588 hot meals. In FY 2023-2024 EHP served 19,701 unduplicated individuals through our Emergency Food Program and provided 15,400 hot meals. We are serving more people than at the pandemic height. Our services have doubled in the past 6 years. Our operation has been bursting at the seams. We cannot support all the traffic in our small parking lot. The cars flow out the gate, down Pulgas Ave. Some days the cars go around the corner at Bay Rd. We realized we needed more space and started looking for a 2nd warehouse.
Our conundrum was solved when the owners next door on Weeks St gave us the opportunity to purchase their property before they put it out to market. After 6 months of due diligence, EHP acquired the property, which includes a 6,000 sq ft warehouse and more space to add a large parking lot. Being adjacent to our current location, this purchase will add efficiency to our operating processes.
Our new acquisition though, comes with a heavy price tag. The warehouse had fallen into disrepair. There is no running water in the warehouse. The parking lot needs renovations.
Twenty one years ago, we asked our community for help when we moved into 2411 Pulgas Ave. Today we are asking for your help again. The following is a list of projects that have been completed, in progress or to be completed.
Please invest in the future of our community and those most in need. Please help fund our Weeks Street Project!
